PEOPLE OF THE RAINFOREST

Uncontacted tribes in the rainforest are at risk because:

  • Illegal loggers and miners are chopping down the trees, stealing land and making them move for the first time.

  • Eventually the loggers and miners will become so greedy that they will kill them.

  • Not everyone believes that they exist in the first place.

  • They could be open to viruses and diseases which would kill them.

We can help and protect them by:

  • Making governments stop illegal logging and mining.

  • Protecting the rainforest and its plants and animals.

  • Letting the tribes decide whether they want to make contact with the outside world.

Do the Vikings deserve their violent reputation?

I think the Vikings don’t deserve their violent reputation for the following reasons.

  • The vikings came to Britain because their homes (in Scandinavia) had a lot of floods.
  • The vikings wanted to be farmers.
  • Some of the vikings were friendly to people.
  • The vikings needed food & water so they wouldn’t die.
  • They defended them selves most of the time.
  • They are an important  of british history.

The vikings came to Britain because  they wanted to farm but they couldn’t in Scandinavia. They couldn’t do much and would be hard to get around Scandinavia.

“No,” he said, “I like Marmite.”

Michael waited for Mummy to give him his packed lunch. She had already made sandwiches but wanted to keep the filling a surprise.

He travelled to school wondering what his sandwich contained. By lunchtime, he was very hungry and excited about what it was. Michael opened his lunchbox and peeked inside. He was devastated to discover his sandwich was tuna and sweetcorn.

Michael had a big problem; he hated tuna and sweetcorn. He asked his friends if anyone would swap with him. Charlie said, “Mine are Marmite, but you wouldn’t want one.” Michael smiled. “No,” he said, “I like Marmite.”

The Mousehole cat

The Mousehole cat

One day, Tom and Mowzer were sailing to get fish and they caught fish. They tried to escape but couldn’t and after they escaped the storm cat. Later Mowzer sang to the storm cat at the storm cat calmed down from Mowzer’s singing. The deep, blue sea had smaller waves.

Finally, Tom and Mowzer were returning with the delicious fish. It was a big journey  out in the sea with the storm cat. They could have fallen out of their little, brown boat. Luckily they didn’t and it was rough.

Soon after, everyone was watching Tom and the black and white cat Mowzer. Everyone put lanterns on the mousehole and Tom and Mowzer could see the lanterns all over the mousehole.

After a while, Tom and Mowzer returned with lots fish they collected from the deep, blue sea where the storm was. Everyone was cheering as Tom and Mowzer were getting off their little, brown sailing boat and walking towards the whole crowd. Everyone were glad that Tom and Mowzer were safe and brought fish.
